All things must pass, and after much soul-searching and reflection, we're announcing that we – Archie and Louis – have stepped down from Villages.
In the early days, our team consisted of the two of us burning the midnight oil. Since then, thanks to our amazing team, we've watched the brewery and taproom grow and become a part of our local community. Today, Villages is in better nick than ever. But it's time for a change of pace, lifestyle, and some new experiences for us both.
So what's next for Villages? To ensure that Deptford has a brewery for the years to come, we're passing on the torch to two very capable owners – Simon and Malcolm, who have also replaced us as directors of the brewery. We think the place is in safe hands with them, and we know they're excited to introduce themselves in due course.
Before we go, we have some big thanks to give! Watching Villages grow has taught us that it’s the people who make a place what it is. So to everyone who helped build and grow Villages – from those of you who wandered into the taproom and raised a glass, to our suppliers, customers, and everyone in between – we couldn't have done this without your love and support. From both of us, THANK YOU!
